Les vacances!

Just a quick note to let you all know that there’ll be no conversation hour
this Tuesday (26/5). Unfortunately you’ll have to satisfy your French fix
through other means until we reconvene next semester!
On behalf of the committee, we thank you for your support this
semester and wish you all the best for your exams!

Stay tuned for dates - the committee is finalising this year’s calendar in time for O-Week.

New Committee
Author: matt
Well the AGM was a success, and there’s a new committee in place, so I’m officially exceeding my authority in writing this post. Thanks goes to our outgoing president Mel, and good luck to the new committee, headed up by Georgia Benjamin.
Meetings are now 12:30-1:30 on Tuesdays (in Arts Centre 703 as always). The new committee is also planning to once again have evening meetings, once a month.

Our meetings have moved to Tuesdays and now go for a full two hours. Of course you are free to come for a shorter length of time. This week we are discussing the Olympics Opening Ceremony amongst other things.
Eurovision
Author: matt
I’ve been big fan of Eurovision since I discovered it a few years back, but in my humble opinion it is one of those things best enjoyed with good company. But wait, you may not know what on earth Eurovision is. It is a live TV song contest with one song entered from each European country (or most of them anyway, and a few countries in outer Europe such as Israel). It is fun, lively, colourful and deliciously silly. Personally, I love the variety, from the love ballads to the rock to the traditional folk music.
Anyway, the MU French, German, Greek and Scandanavian clubs are having a Eurovision Night. Dress ups strongly encouraged (Allons la France! …même si la chanson est en anglais).
Details: Sunday 25th May from 6:30pm, at the John Curtin Hotel, 29 Lygon St, Carlton
